Coral reefs are known as the rainforests of the sea – they contain lots and lots of different species of marine life. They also help animals camouflage and hide from predators. However, human pollution is destroying them.
Coral is made up of lots of coral polyps, very tiny creatures who come together to make the coral.
When coral dies it turns grey and it spreads viruses around fish.
